Dancing delights at Habitat soire

Habitat for Humanity Calaveras welcomes those with a passion for dancing as it presents Dance Under the Light of the Moon on Saturday, June 2.

Those who haven't seen Dove Hill Ranch n the old Albasio ranch outside Angels Camp that is now owned by Jane Bottomley n will have the chance to tour the estate. Bottomley has offered the use of the property for the fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity Calaveras on her incredible grounds.
This fun event will be held during the full moon, giving party goers the opportunity to dance by the light of the moon. The Flashbacks, a popular Mother Lode band that performs big band music perfect for cutting a rug, will provide the tunes for tapping.

Throughout the evening an incredible assortment of foods will be served. Beer and wine will accompany the tasty treats.

A birdhouse auction n with bird and bat houses that have been handmade by a local contractor and other Habitat friends n will add to the levity.

“There is sure to be something to keep everyone entertained all evening, whether it is enjoying the scenery, eating, talking to friends or dancing under the light of the moon,” said one Habitat representative.

The event starts at 5 p.m.

Tickets are $50 each, with proceeds going to help Habitat volunteers provide houses for families that need a little help obtaining their own home.

Tickets are ony sold in advance, and may be obtained by calling 754-5331 between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, or by calling the Courtyard Bed and Breakfast at 754-1518.
