Pastor Lloyd Bunton

Faith Fellowship Family Bible Church in San Andreas welcomes its new pastor, Lloyd Bunton, his wife, Gloria, and their son, Ryan. Bunton comes to the church with a long resume and a local connection. He attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Mo., later transferring to Missionary Baptist College in Sacramento. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1973 and went on to Andrew Baptist College and Seminary while starting Calvary Baptist Church in late 1973. \He was pastor there until 1997. From 1998 to April 2000, he was pastor at Fellowship Baptist Church in Vacaville.

In December 2000, he was called to Bible Baptist Church in Valley Springs and in 2005 retired to Missouri. In 2007, for family reasons, the family returned to California, where Bunton was called out of retirement and accepted the pastor position in San Andreas. The Buntons have six children and eight grandchildren.

Faith Fellowship is a non-denominational reformed, family integrated fellowship seeking to be known in the community as biblical in its teaching and structure and committed to the concept of uniting church and home. The church, 376 Russells Road in San Andreas (the Grange Hall), holds Sunday services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. for Sunday school and 11 a.m. to noon for worship service. The church will hold a special breakfast and fellowship during the Sunday school hour on Easter, March. 23.
