Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital will host a health fair for the residents of Copperopolis from 7 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at the Saddle Creek Lodge.

“We are very pleased to bring this much-needed service to our Copperopolis community,” said hospital President Feliciano Jiron. “This mini-health fair is being presented the same week as our 10th annual health fair on the hospital campus, but we recognize that many of the Copper Valley residents find the drive to San Andreas difficult, so we’re bringing some of the critical services right to the community.”

A blood analysis will be available for $30. Participants must fast for 12 hours before the blood draw. Flu shots are free. If the vaccination is not yet available, vouchers will be given and shots can be obtained at no additional cost at the Family Medical Center in Lake Tulloch Plaza. Pneumonia shots will be available, as will bone density studies; information from the Hospital Foundation regarding its digital mammography project; and other handouts about health services provided locally and in San Andreas. Information about the new Family Medical Center in the Copperopolis Town Square will also be presented. Dr. Paul Nguyen from the Family Medical Center in Copperopolis will be available for medical questions.
For more information call 754-2526.
