Area clinics to offer flu vaccine

The Calaveras County Public Health Department will host a series of flu clinics this winter at various locations throughout the county. Cost for the vaccine varies from free to $15 based on family size and income. Proof of income is not required and no one will be denied based on inability to pay. Medicare is accepted.
Thursday, Oct. 30: Calworks/Sequoia Room, 509 E. St. Charles St., San Andreas; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 4: Copperopolis Town Square, off Little John Road; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 6: Chapel in the Pines Church, 2286 Cedar Lane, Arnold; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 13: West Point Community Hall; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 3: Calworks/Sequoia Room, 509 E. St. Charles St., San Andrea; 2 to 4 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 6: Bret Harte High School, Angels Camp; 9 to 11 a.m.
The vaccine is available at Calaveras County Public Health clinics for high-risk community members and their caregivers. Flu Mist is available for healthy children and adults 2 to 49 years old.
The vaccine is also available to the community at monthly Public Health immunization clinics.
