The din of hammers, drills, heavy equipment and other tools is being replaced by the steady thrum of workers stocking shelves and arranging aisles.
Tractor Supply Co. in Angels Camp is finished with construction and is preparing to open its doors to the public on July 13.
Building crews were wrapping up construction at the location on the north end of the city and were planning on “handing over the keys,” this week, according to employees working on the site.
“Everything is going good. Everything seems to be on schedule,” said Ridvan Arslan, the store’s manager, who relocated from the Auburn Tractor Supply Co. location. “They’re doing the shelving right now. Product setup isn’t until next week.”
The new location also boasts something more than home improvement and other products. It’s created employment.
“The store will provide about 15 new jobs to the area, with at least half of those being full-time positions,” said Niki Giacchina, project manager for DVL Seigenthaler Finn Partners, a public media firm representing Tractor Supply Co. “Also, this is one of more than 80 stores nationwide that have/will open in 2019.”
Giacchina said there are close to 1,800 locations currently. The Angels Camp location is 18,800 square feet.
The soft opening is July 13, with the grand opening scheduled to be held July 20.
