U.S. Bureau of Reclamation rangers lead paddlers up the Stanislaus River toward Parrotts Ferry to explore the flora, fauna, geological formations and cultural history of the area, all viewed from the water; participants must bring their own nonmotorized crafts and Coast Guard-approved life jackets, paddles, sunscreen, lunch, water and hats; free, but you must reserve by calling Ranger Joshua Pelham at 536-9094 ext. 236.
