The Calaveras Community Foundation (CCF), a local nonprofit charitable funds management organization, was recently given $10,000.

According to a press release issued by CCF detailing the nature of the donation on the part of the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians, the donation is just one of many the rancheria has made over the years. To date, more than $100,000 has been donated by Jackson Rancheria to CCF.

Additionally, the released stated that employees of the Jackson have made individual donations to the foundation via payroll deductions.

“It is our pleasure to continue this ongoing partnership between the Calaveras Community Foundation and the rancheria,” said Rick Hoffman, CEO of Jackson Rancheria, in a statement. The CCF’s 2019 grant program is in its final stages and grant recipients will be chosen shortly, the released stated.

More than $2.2 million in grants, scholarships and assistance have been given through CCF since its inception in 2000. CCF stated the giving is made possible because of donations like the ones given by Jackson Rancheria.
