If an emergency strikes, could you save a life? Adventist Health Sonora offers the American Heart Association’s Family & Friends CPR course, a two-hour class that teaches adult, child and infant CPR and mild and severe airway blocks, as well as adult and child automated external defibrillator use.

“This course is ideal for community groups, teachers, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life,” said a release.

Participants will receive certificates but will not receive CPR course completion cards to meet certain job requirements.

The class is offered from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday in Conference Rooms 1 and 2 at Adventist Health Sonora, 1000 Greenley Road, Sonora. The $10 fee covers course instruction, supplies and a copy of the “Family & Friends CPR” student manual.

For more information, call 536-3284. To register, go to AdventistHealthSonora.org/classes, find the listing for “Family & Friends CPR” and click “register.”
