The Silver Oak Medical Office was recently awarded the 2014 California Quality Improvement Recognition Award by the Health Services Advisory Group of California, Inc.

The award is one of 47 performance-based awards granted in the state. HSAG of California reviewed the performance of physicians participating in quality improvement efforts this year, such as Calaveras County’s Silver Oak.

“Our goal has been to bring world-class medical technology, quality service and compassionate care right here to the foothills,” said Dr. Dean Kelaita, partner and co-owner of Silver Oak Medical Office.

Silver Oak was awarded one of the highest honors in quality care for reducing the negative impacts of multiple disease conditions.

“Silver Oak should be proud of their efforts because they lead their colleagues in demonstrating effective prevention and treatment practices concerning the most serious disease indications,” said Dr. Mary Fermazin, chief medical officer for the HSAG of California.
