A 71-year-old passenger died in a two-car collision near Lake Tulloch on Wednesday.
According to California Highway Patrol in San Andreas, Eliah Jenson, 31, of Patterson, was driving a 2010 Jeep northbound on O’Byrnes Ferry Road when the accident occurred. Jenson was approaching Duchess Drive at approximately 2 p.m. when she made a left turn directly into the path of Daniel Glover, 30, of Woodbridge, who was driving a 2009 Scion southbound. The front of Glover’s vehicle collided with the right side of Jenson’s vehicle.
Jenson’s right front passenger, Daveonne Curry, 71, of Patterson, endured life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision and later succumbed to those injuries after being transported to Mark Twain Medical Center.
Jenson suffered minor injuries, and another 3-year-old passenger also suffered moderate injuries. Both were treated at Sonora Regional Medical Center.
Glover, the other driver, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident, according to the CHP. He suffered major injuries, and was treated at Modesto Memorial Medical Center.
CHP reports alcohol and/or drugs were not a factor in this collision.
