Law enforcement officers seized a firearm, 40 pounds of processed marijuana, pot plants, a small amount of methamphetamine and other drugs during the execution of a search warrant Friday on the 2100 block of Summit Level Road in Rail Road Flat.
Three arrests were made during the warrant service, and two people escaped arrest by fleeing out the back door of the house when members of the Calaveras County Narcotics Enforcement Team arrived, according to a report from the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office.
Carlos Nunez, 30, Janice Allen, 53 and Travis Duffina, 29, all of Rail Road Flat, were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, the report said.
Robert “Daniel” Biegler, 42, of Rail Road Flat is suspected to be one of the people who fled out the back of the house, the report added. The other person who fled was identified as a juvenile boy.
Biegler is wanted on charges of child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance, furnishing marijuana and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, the report said.
If anyone has contact with Biegler or knows his whereabouts, they are being urged not to contact him, but instead to call the Sheriff’s Office at 754-6500. The investigation is ongoing and no further information was available as of Tuesday afternoon.
