Kelly Linneman, 35, of San Andreas, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of firing a shotgun through her neighbor’s wall on the 300 block of Neilsen Street, according to a Calaveras County Sheriff’s report.
Sheriff’s deputies later determinted Linneman had attempted to shoot her neighbor, John Ramirez, 42, of San Andreas, the report said. She fired three shotgun blasts at Ramirez’s house into an exterior wall, the report said. Ramirez was sleeping inside the bedroom on the other side of the wall. Linneman also allegedly fired on shot into a bedroom wall inside her own home, the report continued.
Ramirez’s two children were asleep inside the home as well at the time of the incident.
The report said the incident may have been spurred on my some sort of relationship problems between Linneman and Ramirez.
Linneman told detectives she was not trying to kill or injure Ramirez.
During the time she was shooting the shotgun and her arrest, Linneman was described as being obviously intoxicated.
She was booked into the Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $575,000 bail on suspicion of attempted murder, criminal threats, discharging a firearm at an inhabited dwelling, endangering a child and domestic violence.
