Jean Self

Former Angels Camp resident

Jean Self died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Sanger. She was 80.

Mrs. Self was born April 27, 1932, in Selma to Charles and Gladys Lavere. She was a former resident of Sonora and Angels Camp, but lived in Reedley at the time of her death.

Mrs. Self enjoyed her house plants, music, bingo and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Rhee of San Andreas and Cindy (Donald) Timmons of Garden Grove; sons, Donald Self of Selma and Mike (Kriss) Self of Nampa, Idaho; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and extended family in Nevada and Idaho. Mrs. Self was preceded in death by her husband, Herb Self.

Private services will be held in Selma. In place of flowers the family prefers donations to a favorite charity.
