Rickie May Fry

Burson resident

Rickie May Fry, 80, died at her home in Burson on July 19 after a short illness.

Fry was born Jan. 20, 1936, in Los Angeles. She worked for six years transporting children who lived in foster care, and supervising visitations between children and their parents.

She moved to Burson in 1991.

She is survived by husband, Wayne, of Burson; sons; Wayne Thomas of Turlock and Ronald of Burson; sister Margie McLaughlin of Burson; brother James Handcock of Jamestown; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Ann.

A memorial service will be held at the Burson Full Gospel Church at 10 a.m. on Aug. 1.The church is at 3201 Highway 12 and Burson Road. A donation in her name may be made to the Burson Full Gospel Church or to Hospice of Calaveras.
