Jesse H. Brower, 87, of Great Falls, Mont., passed away on Jan. 14, 2018.

Jesse was born Jan. 24, 1930, on the Brower Ranch just outside of Angels Camp, Calif., to Harry Brower and Jessie Cresswell (Voinich) Brower.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill Brower, Tom Brower and Bob Brower; sisters, Olive Wells and Nancy Moss; and children, Keith Pierce, Russell Pierce and Kay Brower.

Jesse is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dolores Brower of Great Falls, Mont.; children, Linda Lawrence, Debbie Pierce, Daryl Brower, Ron Pierce, Rhonda Fee, Mark Pierce and Art Pierce; and sister, Jean Johnson of Murphys, Calif.

Jesse was a lifelong outdoorsman. He enjoyed many activities from fishing in the ocean to hunting in the mountains and everything in between.

Jesse also had a lifelong passion for horses. He trained and showed them and provided valuable advice on horsemanship to many people throughout his life.

In keeping with his love of the outdoors, Jesse spent 37 years in a career with the California Division of Forestry.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
