Barbara Hurlbut

Barbara Hurlbut, native Californian and longtime resident of Murphys, passed away April 3, 2019, at age 96.

Born and raised in the Petaluma area, Barbara was a veteran of WWII WAC.

She moved to Murphys in the early ’80s and became active in the community; Calaveras Big Trees Park volunteer, Murphys volunteer library, Independence Hall Quilter and the Murphys Congregational Church.

A Life Celebration will be held at Murphys First Congregational Church May 25 at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, please make donation to:

Calaveras Big Trees Association, Murphys First Congregational Church or Murphys Senior Center.
