Mary Jeanette Lake

Mary Jeanette Lake was born April 24, 1935, in Tulsa, Okla., and entered in to Heaven on March 3, 2019, in San Andreas. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Grimes (Ron); her sister, Elaine Anberg (Bill); five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mary grew up in Burson, and spent her entire life in Calaveras County. She graduated from Calaveras High School in 1953 and worked as a bookkeeper for 60 years. Mary loved God, her family and the Dallas Cowboys.

She is preceded in death by her husband Glen Lake; father and mother, Bill and Bertha Evans; brother, Bill Evans; sister, Margie Reretko; and great-grandson, Patrick E. Wright .

Special thanks to all the beautiful people at Avalon Convalescent for taking good care of her. Especially her nurse, Angeline!

The service for Mary will be held on March 16, 2019, at 10 a.m., at the San Andreas Memorial Chapel, 254 West St. Charles, San Andreas, CA 95249.

Memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA or The American Cancer Society.
