Ernest A. Raggio

Ernest A. Raggio, known to his friends and family as simply Ernie, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2019, in his lifelong family home in Angels Camp. He was 79 years old. Ernie spent most of his life working alongside his father as a cattleman and butcher and served in the Angels Camp Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Whenever the fire horn blew, Ernie would jump into his gear and hop onto his bicycle and be up to the station before anyone else. He spent much of his free time in his vegetable garden raising his heirloom tomatoes and peppers of all varieties which he loved so much. Ernie was a collector of Native American crafts and all things related to eagles. May his soul soar the winds of heaven. Services will be held at Angels Camp Memorial Chapel on July 6 at 11 a.m.
