Death Notice Instructions

Death notices are a free service to the families of current and recent residents of Calaveras County. Death notices appear in the print publication and online. They are edited by our team for typos and formatting.

A death notice includes basic information such as: name, age and town of the deceased, as well as immediate family. Hometowns will not be listed, nor will grandchildren, memorial time, date, or location.

Life Tribute Instructions

Life Tributes are paid obituaries and funeral notices. There is no format to follow; simply state what you would like to say. Life Tributes appear in the print publication and online. They are edited by our team for typos and formatting.

All life tributes must be paid prior to publication. We do not send bills for these notices. We will call you for payment after you submit your life tribute online. We accept all major credit cards. You can contact us at (209) 754-3861. 

Suggested information to include in a Life Tribute

  • Full name, age and city of residence
  • Date of death
  • Preceded in death by
  • Names and relationship of survivors
  • Military service, memberships, career history
  • Visitation information (day, time, location)
