Last week I needed information from the Department of Agriculture. I emailed over several days without a response. I telephoned the office and the message on the phone stated the office was closed until the government shutdown was no longer in effect. This is an example of a 3-year-old toddler with a temper tantrum. If Trump doesn’t get his way he throws a tantrum. Thousands of people are either not working at all or working without pay. The parks are being trashed, people defecating in the roads, letting dogs run loose, harassing the wildlife. Garbage is piling up. What kind of people would do that?
Twenty million children will go without food if this continues. How do people pay the mortgage or the rent or other bills? Farmers can’t get their checks. The IRS can’t send refunds. I could continue indefinitely.
Donald Trump should get back to work, open the government and stop acting like the spoiled brat that he is. Sen. Mitch McConnell should bring the funding bills to the floor and the Senate should vote to pass them. Let Trump veto them, and they can override the veto. This has become ridiculous. I can’t believe we have to suffer through the temper tantrum of a president who has no concept of the suffering he is causing to thousands of ordinary Americans.
Call or write to the Congress and tell them to get off their high-horse, open the government and put a check on this asinine performance by the President of the United States.
