Olivia Lilly has been breaking swimming records from the time she first jumped into the Bret Harte pool. Her junior season was no different. In her third year of swimming at Bret Harte, Lilly set three new school records.
In the Bret Harte record books, the 200-yard individual medley, the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard breaststroke all have Lilly’s name next to them. The new record in the 200-yard individual medley is 2:29.25; the 100-yard butterfly is 1:01.34; and the 100-yard breaststroke is 1:11.43.
Lilly also is a part of the 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relay team that holds Bret Harte records.
“Olivia is very committed to the sport,” Bret Harte head swim coach Katlyn Rugo said. “She was here every day for practice and traveled to every away meet that we went to. Her dedication is really going to help her go far in swimming next year and in college, if that’s what she decides to do, and also in the rest of her life. She’s a very dedicated, responsible person.”
