There wasn’t much debate this year about who was the best golfer in the Mother Lode League. Nick Kristoff led the Bullfrogs to a perfect 12-0 record and a third consecutive league title. As a result, Kristoff was named the Most Valuable Player of the Mother Lode League.
At the midseason Mother Lode League tournament, Kristoff earned medalist honors by shooting a 77, which led the way to a first-place finish.
Kristoff finished his high school career as the No. 2 golfer out of the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division V in the Masters Tournament. He shot an 81 for his final Bret Harte event.
Kristoff will be part of the very first men’s golf team at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa.
“Nick worked very hard on his game from the end of last year,” said Bret Harte head coach Rich Cathcart. “He was able to figure out what practice really means and I am so proud of him. His attitude and preparation toward practice and matches has been outstanding and that should carry over to a great college career.”
