Bullfrog basketball holds a hardwood clinic

One week after the Bret Harte High School boys’ basketball program hosted a summer clinic, it was the girls’ turn. The Bret Harte girls’ program put on a four-day basketball clinic Monday through Thursday in Angels Camp. The clinic is broken up into two age groups, with seven players in grades three through five attending from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., while 18 players in grades six through eight took the floor from 3 to 5 p.m.

“It’s been a really good time,” Bret Harte head basketball coach Mitch Hodson said. “The girls have a lot of energy, they are happy to be here and they enjoy basketball. I think it’s good for our players to see the youth coming up and it gives them a little more drive and makes them want to push a little bit harder, because they see these kids pushing so hard at such a young age. It’s been really good for the whole program.”
