Calaveras Jr. Reds take down Bears

Calaveras Jr. Reds varsity football improved to 5-1 with a 44-7 win over the Tuolumne Bears on Sept. 22. Calaveras has outscored its opponents 184-48.

Braden Orlandi led Calaveras with 127 yards rushing, followed by Kevin Cross with 69, Logan Parmale with 32 and Jay Clifton with 24. As a team, the Jr. Reds rushed for 249 yards. Orlandi had one interception and returned it for a 60-yard touchdown. Cross had a 58-yard interception for a score and Clifton picked off two passes.

Calaveras will next face undefeated Argonaut Saturday in San Andreas.
