On April 7 we had a baseball clinic for players in Foothills Little League in which the Calaveras High School varsity and junior varsity players instructed and worked with the little league players on drills. We had around 70 Little Leaguers sign up and participate. The high school players kept it fun and challenging for the kids. The younger kids enjoyed having instruction and input from the older guys, which was a nice change for them instead of us parents coaching them.
The clinic was also a fundraiser for the high school program. They were able to raise over $1000. It was a fun time for all involved and we hope to do it again next year.
I am giving a big thank you to all the players and managers who gave up their Saturday to be involved in the community and help the younger kids. With young people like this in our community the future definitely looks bright. Go Redskins!
