Bret Harte golf ends the regular season with a 14-1 Mother Lode League record

The Bret Harte High School golf team completed another outstanding regular season.

After picking up a 210-239 road victory over the Argonaut Mustangs on Tuesday and then knocking off Sonora 215-233 on Thursday, the Bullfrogs finished the regular season with an impressive 14-1 Mother Lode League record.

Barring a complete collapse at the Mother Lode League tournament on May 4, Bret Harte has all but secured its second consecutive league championship.

In Tuesday’s 210-239 win over Argonaut at Castle Oaks Golf Club in Ione, Bret Harte sophomore ace Eli Weidmann shot a team-low 36; junior Chance Herndon shot a 39; sophomore Jakob Bouma carded a 42; junior Troy Dragomanovich shot a 46; and junior Wyatt Tiscornia shot a 47.

On Thursday, the Bullfrogs capped their regular season with a 215-233 win over the Wildcats at Teleli Golf Club in Sonora.

Weidmann had another impressive day on the links, as the sophomore earned medalist honors by shooting a 36; Bouma and Dragomanovich both shot a 43; Herndon shot a 45; and Tiscornia ended the afternoon by carding a 48.

Bret Harte (14-1 MLL) will play at the Mother Lode League tournament on May 4 at Castle Oaks Golf Club in Ione.
