“L.C.” (Lawrence Corbet) Kesterson



Jan. 3, 1946 – Nov. 13, 2015

L.C. Kesterson was born in Puxico, Mo., on Jan. 3, 1946. His family moved to Calaveras County later that year. L.C. grew up in Paloma, Calif., and attended local schools in Calaveras County. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed most of his term in Germany. L.C. passed away Nov. 13, 2015, at his home in Aztec, New Mexico, where he and his family have lived for many years. He and his wife Jane (Ponte) raised their two sons in Aztec. L.C. was very involved in building and racing sprint cars.

Mr. Kesterson was preceded in death by his parents, Cora and Corbet Kesterson; brothers, Glen Kesterson and Doy Kesterson; and his son, Corbet Kesterson. L.C. will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. L.C. is survived by his wife, Jane; his daughter, Kathy Kesterson; their sons, Larry (Rhonda) Kesterson and Asa (Jamie) Kesterson; his grandchildren, Rachel, Jennifer, Lance, Vanessa, Daniele, Ivan, Hannah, Jaycee and Rachael; and three great-grandchildren. His surviving sisters and brother are: Mary Baker, Eva (Carl) Keyser, Belva Bristol, Pattie (Tim) Brooks, and Daniel (Polly) Kesterson. Services will be held at

Aztec Hope Memorial in Aztec, New Mexico on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015.
