A Mokelumne Hill man was arrested Saturday evening after crashing his vehicle while allegedly under the influence of alcohol, according to authorities.
Taylor Kinsman, 31, of Mokelumne Hill was driving eastbound on Highway 26, east of Sport Hill Road at an unknown speed when, due to an unsafe turn, Kinsman allowed the vehicle to leave the south edge of the roadway. The vehicle subsequently collided with a dirt embankment located on the north shoulder of Highway 26.
After the collision, Kinsman was transported to Mark Twain Medical Center where he was treated for minor injuries. Alcohol appeared to be a factor in the collision according to authorities. Kinsman was later arrested, and booked into the Calaveras County Jail for driving while under the influence of alcohol.
