Bret Harte’s golfing girls won two matches in as many days this week.
In pre-season practice games, the Lady Bullfrogs are 4-0. The team begins league play Thursday, traveling to Hughson.
Tuesday, Bret Harte beat Linden, 186-240, and Wednesday, out-scored Calaveras 197-248.
Krystal Thomson and Kim Artiaga, both of Bret Harte, led the scoring, each with a 9-over-par 45, against Linden on the front nine at Greenhorn Creek Golf Club. Teammates Colleen Smith and Caitlin Locke each shot 48s.
Linden’s Megan Rugani and Alicia Schmidt each carded 57s, the lowest scores marked by the Lions.
The next day, the Lady ‘Frogs traveled to La Contenta Golf Course. There, Thomson again took the lead with a 45 on the par-35 course. Locke scored 48, followed by Smith (51) and Artiaga (53).
On the Calaveras team, Allison Suarez was the low scorer at 48. Her teammates, Angela Shrode, Haley Vanlieshout and Samantha Morell shot 60, 63 and 77, respectively.
