DeWitt E. Harriman died Sunday, April 27, 2003, at his daughter’s residence in West Sacramento. He was born March 25, 1914, in Grand Island, Neb. He was 89.

Mr. Harriman lived in Arnold for three years before moving to Carson City, Nev., earlier this year. He was a retired carpenter for McClellan Air Force Base and an Army veteran of World War II. He loved hunting, fishing and watching the 49ers.

He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and John Doig of Arnold, Susan and Buddy Apfel of Carson City, and Karen and Matt Edd of West Sacramento; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held May 10 at Murphys Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements by Angels Memorial Chapel.
