Navy veteran
James Joseph Coulter of Copperopolis died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at his home. He was 83.
Mr. Coulter was born in San Francisco and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He served as an inspector for PG&E for 25 years before he retired in 1982. He was a Copperopolis resident for the past 21 years, and was a member of the Mountain RC Flyers in Copperopolis. He also belonged to the Continental Luscomb Association and was the owner of a 2948 Luscomb airplane.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James and Josie Coulter of Copperopolis, and by three grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Aug. 4 at Angels Memorial Chapel in Angels Camp. Inurnment will be private.
