Longtime resident
Linda Aubrey-McCraney died of natural causes Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at Mark Twain St Joseph’s Hospital. She was 53.
Mrs. McCraney was born Jan. 6, 1964, in Paris, Texas. She moved to California with her parents and family when she was 12.
She attended Calaveras High School, where she met her husband, Lonnie McCraney. They were married Sept. 2, 1970, in Carson City, Nev. They made their family home in Paloma, where they raised two daughters. Mrs. McCraney spent the last 42 years of her life in Valley Springs.
Mrs. McCraney is survived by her children, Nikki McCraney of Lodi and Tasha Ballew of Valley Springs; brother Steven Aubrey of Turlock; sisters Paula Bagshaw of Mountain Ranch, Sharon Johnson of San Andreas and Kathy Swift of Mountain Ranch; and two grandchildren.
A funeral was held April 11 at the Paloma Community Church.
