Retired market owner
Mary Amy Condon died Thursday, May 15, 2003, in San Francisco. She was born Dec. 18, 1922, in Broken Bow, Neb. She was 80.
Mrs. Condon was a homemaker and owner-operator of the Condon Market in Jamestown, where she lived from 1977 to 1988. From 1988 to 2001, she lived in Murphys, moving to San Francisco two years ago.
She is survived by a son, Michael Condon of Pacific Grove; three daughters, Katherine Condon and Darla Whitaker, both of San Francisco, and Patricia Utz of Norfolk, Va.; a sister, Alice Browillette of York, Neb.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Condon.
Graveside services were held May 28 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Murphys. The family suggests memorial contributions to the San Francisco Zoological Society, 1 Zoo Road, San Francisco, CA 94132.
