Pratt completes San Diego marathon

William Pratt, son of John and Margo Pratt of Murphys, completed the June 1 Rock ‘N Roll Marathon in San Diego in less than four hours.

Pratt, who turned 50 on June 15, finished the event in 3 hours, 55 minutes, 55 seconds.

Running in the 45-49 men’s division, Pratt finished 190 of 809 participants in his division. He came in 2,690th of 7,779 male finishers and 2,692nd of 16,978 total finishers. A total of 21,420 people registered for the marathon.

“Bill’s goal was to finish a marathon in less than four hours before his 50th birthday,” John Pratt said Monday. “He did that.”
