Retired bookkeeper
Sally Inez Spiva, a retired bookkeeper, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at her home in Mountain Ranch. She was 68.
A native of Lindsay, Mrs. Spiva moved to Hilmar in 1946, to Stockton in 1965, then to Arnold in 1982; San Clemente State Park in 1990, and settled in Mountain Ranch in 1995. She was a member of the American Association of University Women, Rovin, and the Mountain Ranchers Chapter of the Good Sams Club.
She is survived by husband, Bruce Spiva Sr. of Mountain Ranch; children Bruce Spiva Jr. of Reno, Marie Speas of Denver, Sheryl Gambin of Coalinga, and Benjamin Spiva of Riverside; father Clyde Chapman of Mountain Ranch; sister Anne McSweeney of Mountain Ranch; brother Clyde “Buzz” Chapman Jr. of Irvine; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Mountain Ranch Community Center. The family prefers memorials in the form of donations to the Komen Foundation, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Ste. 250, Dallas, Texas 75244. San Andreas Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
