Senior Morgan Taylor stayed on a hot streak for the Bret Harte High girls golf team, shooting the lowest round of her career at La Contenta Golf Course in an easy win for the Bullfrogs.
Taylor took medalist honors with a 6-over-par 41 and Bret Harte defeated Calaveras 181-229 in Thursday’s Valley Foothill League North division match.
“Morgan has been playing very well lately,” Bret Harte coach Rich Cathcart said of the team’s lone senior.
Also for Bret Harte (6-3 VFL North), Emaline Ellsworth shot a 43, Melissa Spence shot a 47, and Rilee Hillman added a 50.
The win gave the Bullfrogs a sweep of the season series against Calaveras and earned Bret Harte a point in the Old Miner’s Cup standings.
Shelby Goodwin and Jordan Gill shot 56s to lead the Redskins (3-6 VFL North).
