Born: July 27, 1962

Hometown: Born in Lodi and raised in Castro Valley, Lambert moved to Amador County in 1989 and settled in Mokelumne Hill two years later, where he has lived since.

Family: Has four kids – Keely (20), Catherine (18), Madeline (14) and John (11) – with his wife of 21 years Darcy.

Occupation: Manager of Watershed and Recreation for East Bay Municipal Utility District

Education: Graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry.

Community impact

• Calaveras Youth Basketball Association board member

• Youth sports coach and tournament coordinator

• Played a key role in keeping school sports teams going when Calaveras Unified School District eliminated funding for elementary school sports last year

• Helped bring a new gym to Moke Hill Elementary School and got banners to hang on wall of gym, recognizing accomplishments of past Gophers sports teams
