Child Care Council announces meeting



The next monthly meeting of the Calaveras Child Care Council will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 501D Gold Strike Road, San Andreas. A study session regarding the Council Implementation Plan will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend both sessions of the meeting. For more information call 754-5348.

Burn ban lifted



Effective at 8 a.m. Thursday, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) will lift the suspension of burning on private lands within the Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit.
